2014 NORTH AMERICAN COLD WAVE


The 2014 north American cold wave also called "polar vortex" was an extreme weather event, affecting parts of canada, the united states and northerneastern  mexico. Polar vortex are wind streams found around the north and south pole, a very cold big mass has made its way from the artic regions to more southern areas including the USA, Canada and mexico.
Due to this cold wave many schools, businesses have closed.
The damage caused is approximately 5 billion USD in the USA.
Tempratures reached -37 degrees celsius in Minessota and other states of the north.
